Appointments
An appointment system operates at all times. Patients are free to make appointments with the doctor of their choice. This may mean a short delay at busy times. Urgent cases will always be seen the same day by the on call doctor. The telephones are very busy first thing in the morning and it is helpful if you could ring for non-urgent appointments, test results etc after 10.00am. Please always make a separate appointment for each person needing to be seen.
The Practice has worked extensively with the Scottish Primary Care Collaborative over the last 12 months to improve the appointment system and access to GPs. We have put in place some changes which have been shown nationally to achieve improved access.
