Minor Cuts and Grazes
Wash the wound thoroughly with soap and water. To stop bleeding apply a clean dressing firmly to the wound for about 5 minutes, then cover with a clean, dry dressing. Dirty wounds that are contaminated with soil etc, are at risk of tetanus infection. If it is more than ten years since your last tetanus injection contact the practice nurse for a booster.
