Surgery Times
The Practice is open from: 8:30am - 6:00pm
Surgeries run from: 9:00am - 5:30pm
Monday to Friday.
Please note we are no longer closed from 1pm to 1.30pm. Appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery or by calling at reception.
When the Practice is Closed
Other than out of hours and weekends, the practice is closed for two things only,
Public Holidays and Protected learning.
The practice takes the 10 Scottish Public Holidays,
- Good Friday
- Easter Monday
- The two May holidays
- Paisley Fair Holiday
- September Weekend
- Christmas
- Boxing Day
- New Years Day
- 2nd January
Some of these days are liable to change depending when Christmas/Easter falls etc.
When the practice is closed, regardless of why, you will be unable to collect prescriptions, make appointments etc. It is helpful, particularly around Public Holidays that you ensure that you have enough medication so you don’t run out when the practice is closed. The demand for prescriptions increases at this time and whilst we do promise that any prescription will be ready in 48 hours, it may not be possible to get your prescription sooner at this time. It is therefore helpful that any request is made in plenty of time.
In the event that you require medical treatment when the Practice is closed, please phone NHS24 on 08454 242424.
Protected Learning
This is a Health Board wide initiative to allow practices to have protected time for education. All practices in Greater Glasgow and Clyde participate, although depending on the area, it may be different days. There are 8 days in the year when the practice will be closed from 12.30pm. Whilst the Health Centre may be open on these days, the Practice itself is closed.
